Full of emotion – magical, crazy, longing, bitter-sweet, unique – are words which can be used to describe the performance by Fuego Sur. This Argentinian tango ensemble was founded in spring 2023 by Argentinian, Dutch, and Estonian musicians who share a passion for tango tradition. These musicians are equally dedicated to the playful and enjoyable guardia vieja and the melancholy and longing of guardia nueva and tango nuevo.

This ensemble represents what has been referred to as the new tango generation of Argentina and Europe. Its arrangements are modern, and its vision is unique and fresh. Its music is inspired by jazz harmonies and by Latin American rhythms, with unique nuances being added by each of the musicians.

It is the wish of Fuego Sur to bring tango to everyone, whether they are part of a concert hall audience or a dancer in a tango club.
