23–26 April 2026 Jõhvi Concert Hall
Artistic director Raido Bergstein
The Jõhvi Dance Festival is a new chapter for the annual ballet event that has been a staple at the Jõhvi Concert Hall since 2008. By rebranding as a dance festival, we are broadening our scope to include all kinds of movement, bringing top-tier international talent and acclaimed Estonian performers to East Viru County. A big part of what we do is also about cheering on the next generation of dancers and supporting dance education.
This first edition of the festival launches in April with a spotlight on creativity, showcasing unique pieces from Estonia and across Europe. We are opening on International Dance Day with a contemporary dance gala and closing the weekend with a youth showcase presenting young performers from the local area and abroad get their chance to shine.
