Festival TubIN
The artistic director of the festival is Mihhail Gerts
Until 1944, Tartu, the cradle of Estonian national culture, was home to Eduard Tubin, Estonia’s greatest author of symphonic music. The festival focuses on the music created by composer duirng his time spent in Tartu, also on the work of Tubin’s fellow student Eduard Oja and their mutual teacher Heino Eller. The festival program also includes works by Prokofiev Kodály and Bartók.
The Festival takes place in collaboration with the Eesti Kontsert, Vanemuine Theater and Heino Eller Music School.
