Sisask. „The Northern Polar Sky“ (the 4th part from „The Starry Sky Cycle“)
Urmas Sisask’s decades-long work on his starry sky cycle, where the composer has tried to put all 88 constellations into music, culminates in the fourth and final part „Põhjapolaartaevas“ (Northern polar sky). Sisask’s magically enchanting music has garnered admirers among both performers and audience, and the completion of „Tähistaevas“ (Starry sky) is a major event in Estonian music.
Lauri Väinmaa, renowned pianist and the art director of festival „Klaver“, has been the first performer of many works of Sisask, and the last part of the starry sky cycle is also the result of intensive cooperation with the composer.
