Based on Käbi Laretei’s autobiographical books, “Soloist” is the story of a woman of extraordinary passion. The daughter of Estonian diplomat Heinrich Laretei, was forced to abandon her studies at the Tallinn Conservatoire at the age of eighteen and flee the war to Sweden. She became an outstanding concert pianist who has performed on the biggest stages in Europe and North America, including the Royal Festival Hall and Carnegie Hall.

However, her career also included two children, several passionate relationships and two marriages: the first to a top conductor and the second to a world-famous film director. How do you fit it all into one person’s life? In an interview with Urmas Ott, Laretei has said: “I am a greedy person. I want everything. But if you want everything, you get everything…”

The performance with one intermission and lasts 2 h 10 min
